Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding, 2026

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were married on the evening of July 3, 2026, on the floor of Madison Square Garden, an arena built for concerts and basketball that, for one evening, held a single wedding for about a thousand guests. It was the most anticipated celebrity wedding in years and, paradoxically, one of the most private: guests surrendered their phones, the couple released no official photographs, and much of what the public knows comes from a handful of confirmations by Swift’s representatives and the affectionate accounts of guests.

The couple

Swift and Kelce, of the Kansas City Chiefs, began dating in 2023, and her appearance at a Chiefs game that September turned an NFL season into a cultural event. Kelce proposed at his home in Missouri in August 2025, and they announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, in an Instagram post that set a record for the platform. The couple initially considered Rhode Island before settling on New York, a change reported to have been driven by security and the size of the guest list; the venue was confirmed only in late June 2026.

The ceremony

The celebrations began on Thursday, July 2, with a rehearsal dinner for about 100 family and friends in the Infosys Theater at the Garden. The next evening the arena floor had been transformed into a “secret garden,” with peach carpet and drapes and large photographs of the couple at different ages. Adam Sandler, a friend of the couple, officiated, as a representative for Swift confirmed. There were no bridesmaids or groomsmen; instead Swift’s brother, Austin, was man of honor and Kelce’s brother, Jason, was best man, and Jason Kelce’s four daughters were flower girls. The sportscaster Joe Buck, a guest, said afterward that Kelce “was a puddle” watching his nieces come down the aisle, and that the couple’s vows were long and “really well-written.”

The dress

Swift’s representative confirmed that she wore Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson, who had recently taken over at Dior, and that she changed into a second look for the reception. Anderson also designed Kelce’s tuxedo. “It’s an emotional thing doing someone’s wedding,” Anderson said. She wore Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. The reception

The party ran until the early hours of Saturday. Favors carried lyrics from “Blank Space,” the arena’s big screen read “JUST&T MARRIED!,” and the Empire State Building was lit in “something blue.” About 135 New York police officers were assigned to the event, and streets around the Garden were closed. Among the guests were Selena Gomez, whose own wedding Swift had spoken at the previous September (see Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding), Stevie Nicks, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Lena Dunham and Abby Wambach.

Why it mattered

In the week of the wedding, Swift’s publicist announced that the couple had given $26 million to 20 charities, nine of them in New York, including Food Bank For NYC, City Harvest, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, Children’s Mercy hospital in Kansas City, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Feeding America. It was a generous way to answer the obvious question of what a wedding on this scale is for. The wedding also proved that even the most watched couple in the world can keep a day to themselves, if every guest agrees.

After a five-night honeymoon in Montana, the couple made their first public appearance as newlyweds on July 10, at the wedding of Kelce’s former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster in Southern California.
